who do you think is the best to play our great game??

are we talking AFL only or do we include the pre AFL days.

AFL only no VFL.. Players that finished there days playing AFL are included..

If you have Riccutio, Buckley, Kelly, Judd, Black, Aker, Harvey, Ablett Jnr, Crawford and co then Ben Cousins should certainly be on that list.

Good player certainly, but Modra doesn't belong on that list (IMHO)

I agree. Mods was good but not up there with the elite.

This is pretty much same as saying who's the best player of the last 20 years, as such i would have to say Carey, followed very closely by Ablett Snr.

Am i wrong in saying Robert Harvey should replace Modra on that list. Class, Longevity, and a great bloke to go with it.

i am sorry i forgot the great Robert Harvey.. he should be in there and im sorry once again.. as for Modra to kick 100 goals in a year should have an invite.. Modra better then Buddy

Gary Ablett snr was a great full forward only.

The thing is, Lockett and Dunstall were unquestionably better footballers than Modra, so given he's not in the top 2 full forwards of the last 20 years, there's no way he can be the best footballer of the last 2 decades.

I have never been an Ablett fan but to me even though he didn't win a flag he was one of the best ever. In his younger days he could play anywhere. Blight put him at Full Forward and he excelled there.
