Up until half way through the season is my understanding ... However they replace another player on the list for the rest of the season after the cutoff period, so you would need an absolute superstar at SANFL level, or a season ending injury to one of the full squad members for an upgrade to stay in place.
I don't think the Crows have anyone ruled out for the remainder of the season do they? (maybe Hentschel?? I dunno)

That is usually the case CP but due to the GC coming in clubs are allowed to elevate the rookies to the main list after round 11 without the need for someone to be on the long term injury list.
