Port...just

I'm hoping Hamish Hartlett takes over krackwhores running half back role. I think Krackwhores much more suited to a wing, and Pearce to a Left Right Out.

why can't a Paul Stewart or Matthew Broadbent get a game ahead of Carr? There form has been very good and they will offer the club something for years to come not weeks.

Surely Pettigrew and P Burgoyne were close to getting the chop this week.

This will be tight.

Port's year is pretty much over as it is.

But a loss would certainly end it.

Doesn't have a gold pass.

Should never be out of the 22.

Love him across half-back.

Then again, he doesn't play pretty, soft, unaccountable football.

In other words, not a showpony.

Contrary to popular opinion, Freo aren't shit. They are just young. Their youngest eight players have played a mere 41 matches between them. When you look at Port's main strengths this year you would probably point to an experienced Ruck combination and the fact that Tredders has played his best football for many years.

Despite their overall inexperience, Freo have experience to counter these two strengths of the Power. Chris Tarrant has been a revelation in a key defensive post for Freo and that will be an excellent match up with Tarrant having the edge in mobility with Tredders only being slightly ahead for body strength. If Tredders has a quiet one Freo are right in it. Up against Brogan who has been solid and Lade who is starting to labour a bit they have the big freak Sandilands. Sandilands leads the 'out of centre' stat in the AFL so if he can continue this then the Port defence will be right under the pump.

Freo however, don't know how to win games and have been smashed by injury this year. I reckon Port will get up but by a kick or less but you wouldn't want to give the Freo kids a sniff late in the game or it will be season over for the Powrpuff Girls.

Carr's selection is baffling, don't remember seeing his name in the best players for NA reserves last weekend? The loss against Collingwood highlighted the lack of attacking midfielders compared to defensive midfielders, so what do the Power selection committee do? Bring Carr back into the team (another negating playing player with a defensive mindset).

Of course the real reason I'm annoyed at Carr's selection is because he won't be suiting up for the Bays this Monday. :(

Hartlett is out of the Port side and lower in
Roger Woodcock -- 602 goals from a forward flank makes you a legend.

Very good analysis REB. My wife was very happy you said Freo aren't crap ;) .
On the decision to include Carr, doesn't everyone think that this is a ploy to get Freo off their game. The Dockers are quite easily distracted and to put Carr in, throwing a few elbows around, might make them try to headhunt him instead of concentrating on the footy.
Just a thought.

I'm talking about this year. They chucked out all the old plodders last season and some of these young kids can play. One of the plodders I've been talking about is lining up for Port this weekend for some reason.
