Sheedy or Buckley next year.

The "next" coach might be Wayne Campbell (Caretaker role), but you'd think they'd only appoint one of the assistants as a caretaker for teh remainder of the year.

Highly unlikely and improbable, but could the tigers entice the Messiah from the sunshine state if he gives a rats toss bag about returning to the coaching foray?

The next dark horse is Damien Hardwick.

Christ does anyone really want that job. Look at how they have gone since 1980 when they won a flag. 3 final appearances.......perhaps theres more wrong down there than the coach?
Anyway seriously I would expect sheedy to take the job and god almightly he will swing the axe. Careers will not only be ended but blasted in to nothing.

I think they will go for a young coach. Buckley would be at the top of the shopping list, IMO, with Hardwick and Chris Bond the other two who are a chance. Sheedy may well be involved in a mentor/ footy managers role.

I would think leigh Tudor would be in the mix. Geelong VFL coach Premiership and now St Kilda forward coach and we all know how they are playing at the minute. Might be good to get new blood at the club and have a good clean out.

They need someone really stern to rid the cancers of the club, board included. The only one I can see doing that is Malthouse. They wont go with a 'new' coach, because the culture needs changing and that can't be on the new coach's agenda while they're still finding their way in the caper IMO.

Unfortunately for Richo, I reckon the new coach might end his career.

The one who COULD do it is Benny Gale. Has the attributes of being a favourite son, smart political operator and not a businessman with a hidden agenda.

Get Hardwick - premierships at 3 different clubs as player and assistant coach. Campbell 2IC (shrewd man), keep Richo (social fabric is important), keep Cousins (if he can stay sound for the rest of this season).

Get rid of mid range mediocrity like Schulz, McMahon, Hughes, Pettifer, Johnson, King.

Pray that Cotchin, Deledio, Tambling and Foley can form a core midfield.

Would love to see it happen but think it will be out of 3.

The above mentioned Hardwick, as lovetotalkfooty has already mentioned - Tudor or Ken Hinkley.

There is a rumour going around the Port Adelaide circles that Hardwick has spoken with the Power
