Is the AFL harming the game

Postby Strawb » Sun May 17, 2009 1:35 pm

Well SEN's line is budget cuts but with Radio rights up at the end of this year, And the stations wanting new deals did SEN do the AFL's dirty work and Sack him because of his comments. Now I am not saying the AFL did this but it has been a hot topic over here in Melbourne and I am starting to ask the question is the AFL getting too BIG for itself. In recent years the clean up of the game and constant rule changes along with you cannot say how you feel about what the AFL is doing is starting to get to alot of supporters. It is reminding me of the NBA and how they were sitting down on players and trying to make it seem that they have a good image. And with the recent NRL problems with players off field is the AFL over sanatizing it's product and is it doing more harm than good.

Yes.
And it has been this way since Allen Aylett took over as VFL President in 1977.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.
