Probably why the AFL knocked Port back .... sounds like they have their own financial issues

Interesting perspective on the problems of sharing a stadium with another major sport

Stadium deals are clearly a key issue across the country right now ... they are in dispute with both the MCG Trust and management of Docklands

Those criticising Collingwood's draw prob don't realise that it's all part of the various deals and compromises the AFL have to make with the MCG Trust (ie, cricket).

I don't know if this is correct, but the way I read it, is that the AFL is generating fair more business ($$) than the minimum committment required in their agreement with the MCG and now want more than they are contracted to receive?

Problem looks as though it stems from the fact the agreement is so long term, and the games crowds have risen so much over that time.

If in fact I did read it correctly, you could hardly blame the MCG for pointing at the contract and standing by it.
