is there any truth ?

that the aflpa want free player trades after 7-10 years service at a club & the player can go to the club of his choice does anyone know or heard of this ? i do know they (vfl) had the 10 year rule in the 70's what do you guys think about it as well ?

The AFLPA pretty much want the situation where the players can do whatever they want and go where ever they feel like for nothing. So i wouldnt be surprised if there was truth in it. But i dont think it would happen for 7 - 10 years, more like +10 years.

Sounds like the 10 year rule that came in the early 70's in the VFL.

NOrth Melbourne recruited 3 guns that helped them to there first flag in 1975.

Sounds a good idea though!

I think that rule was there for a couple of months in 1972.

John Rantall, Doug Wade and Barry Davis were those three players.
