EXCLUSIVE RICHMOND is poised to announce this afternoon betting agency Luxbet as its co-major sponsor. The new sports betting agency will feature on the back of the club's jersey this year. The other co-major sponsor is Dick Smith, which will appear on the front of the jumper.

Industry sources suggest the Luxbet deal is worth around $1 million per season.

The move means Melbourne is the only AFL club without a major sponsor complement.

Well done Richmond for finding a major sponsor- not easy in these times (particularly so late in the season).

They produce different guernseys every year because of the sponsors!

this is very interesting because i thought tabsportsbet was the 'afl' betting consortium......although luxbet could be the company owned by the victab which i'm not sure

Luxbet is owned by Tabcorp who also own Tabsportsbet....Im a luxbet client and been pretty happy with them especially the $1.95 lines they have had in the NBA which is industry leading

AFL also have a deal with Betfair....

The Luxbet deal is rumoured to be only $700 k per year not the Million. Pi55 Poor for a major sponsor.

And in other news, CARLTON, have announced Sportingbet as a SECONDARY sponsor for TWO years,
rumoured to be $600 k per year for two years !!

Very happy to get a new major sponsor in the economic climate at the moment.

i thought it was going to be the drug and rehab centre but i guess gambling and drugs ultimately leads to to same thing....just ask nick x
