Young Port Recruit in hot water

Postby Footy Smart » Fri Dec 26, 2008 1:09 pm

A young Power recruit allegedly smashed a female’s car window as she left a pub around Port Adelaide this week. This was after an approach to the females by 2 players to have a drink with them. When they were shut down the players became aggressive. The Power quickly went into “keep it quiet damage control” with Haysmen / ports lawyers/ players reps and managers ringing the victim to try and get them to not speak.

Police have been notified

Name them and shame them first up should be the policy.
If you cover up for them once, they try it again and if it is covered up twice they assume it will always be covered up for them, and they can do whatever they like.

If that rumour concerns a high profile player who may have had three strikes already under a certain "AFL Code", I wonder if that will ever come out as being true/false?

At least no attempt was made to hide his name and cover up for him...
After the police and court have done their bit I expect the Crows will take their own disciplinary measures too.
