Crows v Bulldogs this wk

At the start of the season most crows supporters would of penciled this as a W - I was one of them. With the bulldogs playin good footy im very nervous about this week.

With the birdman havin trouble with his flappin wings last week - some one will need to step up for him. Marty Mattner will come in for him but he doesnt kick goals like the bird man can.

Maybe play Biglands in key position for Perrie and play Maric

Edwards should be alright to play

Spot on, Mattner in for Burton, Maric to come in and Biglands to CHF

McGregor may push forward given the Bullies mid size forward line

Edwards will come in if fit, Skippy under pressure while Knights too must be under the pump to hold his spot, he needs to improve his disposal by foot...

Jericho may come under consideration if Roo misses and Meeson might be a smokey, while Douglas and Vince must be close to selection

Did not play for the Eagles vrs CD tuesday.
Presume he is playing for AC this week ?

He'd be too slow against the Doggies wouldn't he?

Any word on how far away Bock is?

Biglands not a bad ruckman, but i dont rate him as a Centre half forward, maybe full forward?? quite iffy though.

If i was coaching crows, i'd keep Ricciuto at full forward, Hentschel at CHF, McGregor to be left at CHB as no other real option (unless Bassett was tried there although i think hes a better option on a flank or pocket). Rutten could be tried at CHB, allowing McGregor to go to CHF but i think Neil Craig would be reluctant to mess with taking him away after hes been such a revelation at FB.

My opinion, Hentchel is not yet strong enough in the body to play week in week out at CHF and is best suited as the 2nd or 3rd tall forward.

Reason why Biglands is a chance for CHF, I think Craigy is just after a stong contest, and a stong body to draw a key defender.

If you move Rutten from Full Back to CHB, who then goes to the last line, the only option is Massie, as I don't think they will move Bassett or Hrt from the flanks

Craigy has shown plenty of Confidence in Biglands up forward before, my feel is that this would be his preferred option

HORSES FOR COURSES

Mcgregor CHF.
Mattner in defence.

The WB have a midget forward line so AC could
afford to play smaller mobile defenders.
Mcgregor up forward would stretch thier defence.
Hentschell is better as a floating forward where
he is a difficult match up.

Vince looks likely play as he sat out the Anzac
SANFL match as there was only a small break
to this match.

Stevens must be considered.

Jericho is going to blossom eventually.

I don't think Vince is a certainty, I just think the crows are covering all options

Disagree that Stevens must be considered, his form against West Coast was awful, solid SANFL player but Im not convinced that he is up to it.......

Jericho is a better option then Stevens in Attack

McGregor may play up front as th bullies mid size forward line might be too quick for him

In the pre season - Jericho and the birdman were rotating through a half forward flank of the bench.

Edwards has not trained again. Clarke and Roo left the track early

Interesting game this one. Both sides in form, Adelaide's only loss at home, Bulldogs getting closer and closer to defeat (well, statistically), both teams with injuries..Adelaide for the first time in the Craig era. Just another tough match in a season fast becoming a tipsters nightmare!

Eight rows from the fence, directly in front of the big screen (between the 50 and the point post)

Crows didnt name Maric even in the emergencies - must say im a little suprised as I thought it would be a good opportunity to give him a game.

Douglas named as an emergency - good to see - I hope he gets a go

Porplyzia & Skipworth the other emegencies
