Myke Cook

Postby Media Park » Thu Nov 13, 2008 2:33 pm

Taken with pick 38 of the 2007 draft, Cook is a medium sized player that can play up forward, in the middle, or down back...

Cook was a goalkicking midfielder for Sandringham in the TAC Cup, averaging 18 disposals and five inside 50s per match as well as leading the Dragons with 17 goals. His kicking let him down slightly however scoring at an accuracy of 47% and hitting the target with 64% of his kicks around the ground. He is a handy inside ball winner finishing with the third most contested possessions, hardball-gets and looseball-gets at Sandringham in 2007.

He is yet to make his AFL debut, could 2009 be the year of the Crows with odd names...
Jarrhan Jacky, Petrenko, Myke!

I thought Myke Cook was aligned to South Adelaide.

Cook is pretty talented. Quick, agile, can take a very good mark, I question his kicking though. Let's hope the AFC actually look to develop him as a forward/wingman so he can play to his strengths.
