I'm new to this forum, so I'm sorry if this has been written about before, but as a Sydney Swans supporter, I think they have made a massive mistake recruiting Rhyce Shaw. I think he lacks discipline, goes missing in the big games, and has a bad attitude problem. He isn't even the best user of the ball.

What do you think?

Those faults might all be sympomatic of him being well within his comfort zone at the Pies (which is similar to what he has stated).

A change of scenery may get more out of him and perhaps he could become a better player than he has already shown. Won't ever be top-class, but could be quite handy.


Or he may just end up serving up a 2009 sh!tburger.

i think in sydneys side, he will be extremely handy. i for one am not a fan of him as a player or of wat he has achieved in his career. He obviously could not handle the pressure at collingwood with the scrutiny it brings. why will he be handy for sydney? well i think having him, mattner, malceski and kennelly, that will allow them to have malceski and kennelly further up on the wings running the ball and have mattner n shaw in the backlines running it from defence. malceski and kennelly are great users of the ball and will be even better players on the ball/wing. Shaw may not be the biggest impact player for sydney, i think he will indirectly make them a better side because of the ability to free up another player.
