Much-maligned in recent times but, in his prime, one of the elite CHF's in the game .... IMO.

Who will be the new captain?

I expect Shaun Burgoyne to be given the role and I feel he will do a wonderful job, however, IMO Steven Salopek should be given an opportunity to shine in the new leadership group as I feel he could be a long term proposition for the job when Burgoyne hands it on.

Dutchy to thread(rea).....

Kane Cornes had the knife in his back from straight after round 22 telling anyone willing to listen he has matured as a leader blah blah blah. Cassisi would be the best option IMO due to his consistency as a player

Exactly iam a crows man but i would have Dom as my skipper over Shaun as shaun struggles to break a tag as well as having to be a skipper.

Kane would be my ultimate choice if he wanted it

As an opposition supporter there is no more hated player that Chad Cornes. IMO he isnt a captains thring hole. To Arrogant and over the top. Your leader must be respected by not only the team he leads but the players who play against him

I am pleased to hear this, but i also feel a bit sorry for Tredrea, only a few years ago he was the best CHF and now he is slowly coming to an end.

Tredrea has been a great player and leader to the Power, but I think this will be his final year, Well done Tredders. =D>

That may depend on whether you ask his team-mates or his team-mate's wives...

I was simply assuming that getting caught with one only meant he'd been caught once. I doubt he would have turned anything down...
An anonymous survey of North Melbourne wives might be revealing.

Contribution to my suspicion comes from my recall of a Psych journal article about a survey done some years ago in the UK.
An anonymous survey of women married for 10 and 11 years about affairs was disturbing - overall 35% admitted to at least 2 affairs over that time frame.
The variance was interesting - 25% in Scotland, 35% in England, and 45% in Wales

If Kayne Cornes's game had alot more emphasis on T.E.A.M he may well be leading the Power in 2009.
I've heard his ( team-mates & coach) havn't been happy with his selfish display of football, not listening to coaches instructions & his team-mates on game day, now i understand why he hasn't been given a sniff.

the most important question to come out of his retirement........

what number will he wear??

since pearcey has taken his #16, will tredders take the old number of the new captain?

Numbers 6, 12, 15 are available off the top of my head. Pearce might swap to number 6? Wangas got his old number 4 back because Bishop changed to 19.

I still think Chad is a chance for Captain. He's nominated and got back into the leadership group and Cornesy on 5AA hinted that Chad might be talked around if that's what the club wanted.

To me, he's the natural choice but that's just my opinion

yep agreed hondo. I would love to see Chad lead the Power in 2009. He is a one of the most hated players but he is the obvious choice.
