I liked this quote from James Hogan, the airline's chief executive:

"As a Melburnian, I know better than no one the impact of footy."

Hopefully he is more aware of the impact of the English language....

I don't get paid any money for using sponsor names so for me it's just Docklands or the Dome.

Think about it (I realise it's difficult). Players wear sponsors logos, names, etc. It means extra income. Clubs rename venues, it means extra money .. for them.

What's in it for me? What's my incentive to name a stadium by the sponsor name? Spectators give sponsors thousands of dollars of free advertising by mentioning their name, having their logos attached to their clothing, etc.

Unless I support the club or organisation who benefits from the sponsorship, there is no reason for me to observe them .. so I don't.

Luckily for punters like Mal and myself the DOOM pays us free $$$$ every season just by having a stupidly hard surface 8)

SO follow and you to could get indirectly paid from this dog of a stadium!
