Ok, so they can mourn in "peace" over in the R.I.P Bruce Webber thread, I've started one where people can vent their spleen. The laws of the land still apply etc, & the Moderators are holding a big stick at the moment etc.
Seeing as I've opened the batting, I'll let you all pass comment on what happend around 80's-90's in the SANFL/VFL...

Personally, i think you North supporters should be more worried about what Mike "One Goal in Mind" Nunan did to your greatest ever player (champion), the way he denegrated his contribution to the club, cut up photos etc, i believe thats the case.

Different topic, different thread.
I found Bruce Weber an odious personality. His death should pass quietly so as not to highlight that shortcoming.

GWW- Easy Tiger, incase you had't noticed, the RIP Bruce had turned into a free for all- it was requested that anything off topic be discussed elsewhere, but fans being what they are, are still not on topic, strictly speaking. I've taken the step of opening a thread where they can a) let Bruce be remembered by Port supporteres, free of any hint of scandalous conduct b) let Bruce be remembered by other supporters, in a separate forum. As stated, appropriate bahaviour is still required, & the moderators will police the thread.

Sledge Bruce Webber thread- seriously Punky I thought you and the rest of the forum moderators wanted to stop personal sledging of a bloke who was recently departed.
What is the bloody difference with a new thread essentially about how SANFL football fans perceived him??? So if the thread topic is Bruce Webber RIP then we should be kind and nice about the bloke yet make a new topic called Sledge Bruce Webber and we can go hell for leather??? Does it matter what the heading is???
What a joke - I hope Stan is not getting too worked up about this topic, no of course not because he suggested it. Double standards Stan but no doubt you love your role as a forum nazi and treating everyone who post as an uneducated moron so you can get on your soapbox and tell them off. We can all have an opinion or a view as long as you agree with it otherwise we feel the wrath of a swift key stroke from you and it all disappears!

I was hoping that another topic relating to Weber would not be raised, hoping,I did feel it was only a matter of time though before some one did.Free speech or not, most would think now is not the time to go and rubbish the bloke. As moderators we cant decide when and where you should be allowed to discuss his actions during his life,we were as a group just looking for some sensible discussion and comment, but, now this topic has started,*sigh*.

(not that I've been saying anything)
But - it takes something like this, or an event, to inspire people (unfortunately?)
Anyway - use the History thread now
(metamorphosis)

Drebin punks idea to start this thread was to discuss the issue surronding bruce weber without it being in the RIP thread. Thats all no double standards. Enjoy the thread. Have a nice day.

Personally. I dont give a **** what you all think of him. He got the ball rolling to get the most successful club in the country into the national league, where we have shown in the last 10 years we can mix it with the best in the country and beat them. If your still on your high horse 16 years later then I feel sorry for you.
