Postby sturtpeter » Thu Oct 16, 2008 6:08 pm

I welcome comments.

Has been Coach since 1999.

His Number one credential is the 2004 Premiership.

Does he have a future at the PAFC?

Prelims in 02 and 03 a GF in 07 and finals on 00 and 06 on top of his Premiership in 04.

Taking all that into account I think 10 years at any club is about the limit, unless at the end of that 10 year period the club is top 2 or 3. I think Williams will have next year to get Port finals bound and then,if we do not make finals, his contract may (IMO) not be extended.

It is fair to say Williams has a strong hold on all goins on at Port Adelaide and thats fine for me as a the coach of a football club should not have too many people,if any overseeing or second guessing his agenda.

The question should be,how long will the Port Adelaide heirachy allow Williams to run the operation as he does now?

or,

Will Williams burnout as a result of his lack of willingness to delegate?

I assumed they'd keep him until he got the job he wanted with a ready made winning team, after Malthouse has built it, and then give Tim Giniver the job... 8)

I'm hoping he'll break Sheedy's record.
It's all the SANFL's fault.
