Awesome. Remember trying to stay up all night to watch as a kid, sleeping in the lounge room and waking up to watch some more!

Now I'll do the same, with beer!

LOL ... Same, same and same.

Although during the 90's it was always good watching it at the pubs/clubs and trying to make sure we didn't get home until it was finished

You reckon thats bad? Try being a North and a Geelong supporter. I break out in spasms everytime 89 is mentioned. Thank Christ the Raiders got up in the best RL GF ever.

Back on topic, should be pulling into Melbourne as it starts, might watch a bit but it will be an early rise to get good spots at the G the following morning.
Staying in the mall so not far to travel though. (Hotel, not park bench)

Any Idea on the other years they are showing? I have 89 on DVD. Often watch it when I'm home on Saturday night when it is a bore and want to see real footy at its best (and the awesome hairstyles :? )

now THAT's a marathon!

Sorry ME!

I can't wait. I always try and stay up and always fall asleep about 1 or 2am. I love GF eve, it's one of the best nights of the year (TV wise).

Although I have real trouble watching black and white VFL GF's for some reason. Dunno why, they just bore me and I have great trouble watching them.

Fox has a grand final marathon as well. They are going contemporary and their line-up to get as many different teams on is:

1996 Nth Melb v Syd
1997 Adel v Stk
2000 Ess v Melb
2002 BL v Coll
2004 Port v BL
2005 Syd v WCE
2006 WCE v Syd
Roger Woodcock -- 602 goals from a forward flank makes you a legend.

Nothing beats Grand Final week!

Got AFL Teams and Footy Show tonight, TAC GF tomorrow (mainly for scouting puroposes of course) and Before the Bounce. Before the Game to come aswell. Then of course the massive lead up to the big game, marathons on both Fox Sports and 7. Love it!

And then the traditional BBQ and Norm Smith bet.

Wow, nice line-up!

But I really wish they showed 2001 Brisbane v Essendon. One of the most underrated recent GF's IMO.
