Who's got their GF tix?
I had 2 confirmed for my daughter and I today from a mate with a Hawthorn(?) contact! You bloody bewdy!! Rang my daughter just after she finished school and she screamed in delight, I could hear her mum going "whats wrong, whats wrong?" in the background!

Nice to go over with tix this year and enjoy the prematch and the stuff outside the G (live broadcasts etc) unlike last year were we didn't get our tix until 2pm!!

Cats by Enright (44)!

Got mine, Standing Room only, section M10.
We have to get there early to make sure we're not 10 deep though.

Wedgie it's all about being there, and at least you are there! I really didnt care were we sat as long as we got in. Last year lucky enough to get 2 Medallion Club seats for cost plus $50 so the guy could take a taxi home! Believe these tix are prime viewing as well!

The way the AFL allocates the 100k tickets for the GF is a disgrace. 26k to go to the hawk/cat members..please.

I guess we all know this, and it will never change, just wanted to say it yet again.

I'm just glad that I've been to a few before the crowd capacity was enforced at under 100,000 - I went in '79 (as a 5 year old), '81, '82 and '86.

Now it's little more special than a blockbuster H&A round especially due to the excessive number of corporates and neutrals.

I remember the '79 and '81 games with over 110,000 and there were over 110,000 supporters with vested interest. Nowadays, we have about 92,000 and only about 30% are supporters of both sides - the remaining 70% give an atmosphere of a theatre show (monastries are noisier than these people).

It ain't like it used ta be!

Ok Wedgie, Saw ya posts earlier in the month about   you using your  Geelong Members tickets for 1st crack at minor finals and thought ya may have been given a raw deal there.......Glad you got in.My only advice for standing room is try and lay off the piss once you shuffle to the back for a trip to the loo the battle really begins......Also if possible wear water proof pants if ya know what I mean ,The guy next to you may not be such a gentleman and bother to go and risk losing his hard fought spot near the front. :?

I would like to see bona fide club memebers (of the competing club) have first crack at the GF tickets, under strict conditions.
Strict= ticket is issued in member's name only, & photo ID is required to gain entry with ticket.
The remaining tickets can be sold via ballott to AFL/MCG Members/Joe Public.

This day is about the rank & file club supporters/members, not the Corporate sector or blue-bloods.
