this bloke just writes crap to get attention . today in the tiser with his reviews of the roos he lists daniel wells as gone surely this cant be further from the truth .the roos have spent plenty of time devolping him and while he hasnt delivered all the goods just yet imo he is far from GONE  he then follows this up with saying that scott pendelbury is gone from collingwood i would think that the guy has had a reasonable year and would be the pies 3rd or 4th best midfielder this season for me ....for god sake this bloke writes some crap . before you all fire up and say dont buy the tiser we get it delivered as the missus likes to have it ..

Yeah, I know what you meant ... that's why I said "that's what they do". I'm not the greatest fan of footy journos.

Do did he say Wells should be traded or delisted?

I can't imagine the Roos parting company with Wells unless they have big fish to fry in a trade. I know he hasn't lived up to expectations but he's still a pretty handy player.

There's no way the Pies will get rid of Pendlebury. Surely they've penciled him in as one of their future leaders.

Just had a look on the AFL website at the Retirements/Delistings, didn't see Pendlebury or Wells anywhere. No idea where he got that information from... :?

I'd guess in this context when Rooch says "gone" he means "trade"

Maybe he has some inside info that the Roos and Pies want to stock up in the draft and are prepared to trade these players for draft picks ?

No reason mate,I just heard someone mention a Kangaroos player in less than favourable terms. I think Wells is,well, better than "pretty handy"...

He might be handy if he didn't go missing all the time.

Just to clarify my comment, when I use the term "pretty handy" it's my way of saying I think he can play and I rate him. It's just my terminology, and in no way meant to be derogatory.

Just to add, if it hasn't been mentioned already.

He wrote an article a couple of months back now saying about how Mark Williams had coached 143 consecutive games when we all know he's been coaching the Power since the beginning of '99, so it would have to be something like 230.

Probably not entirely his fault but it does look pretty bad.

He also wrote an article this year about Porplyzia's season, this was about halfway through the year.
They listed his stats for the year.... when they were actually his CAREER stats. Huge difference.

If Rucci was correct, Porps would have had the Brownlow sealed up at the halfway point averaging about 5 or 6 goals a game and 50 touches.

the advertiser is pretty useless. just with their punctuation and stuff like that. obviously, i'm no pro writer, but i dont get paid to do it!!

just litte things like, i think in todays, they had a quote from a coach, but instead of the word "for", they printed "four".

and the other day there was some sort of a write up, cant even remember what it was about, but it had andrew mcleod plays for port adelaide. and i know he played for port magpies, but thats not what the article was about.

its not that hard to get things like that right!!

I hate the incorrect naming of players in footy photos, both AFL and SANFL. Continually happens.

FFS when its your job to know what player is which, it shouldnt be too hard!!
