should crows consider drafting Brant Chambers as a mature age draftee like west coast did successfully with troy wilson? what's everybodys opinion on this as the crows are in desperate need of a key forward!

Both Power and Crows have already looked at him closely before

Why do it again when he's another year older?

At AFL level he's not quick/agile enough for a small forward & too small for a KP. Superb SANFL player but!

Not Chambers, but Grima from Glenelg might be worth a shot.

as somebody said in the media recently if he took his footy seriously at 17/18 he would have played some games. But Gas seemed to enjoy life a little bit too much in his younger years which is his own choice.

anyway if the Crows can iron out Walker's current flaws and Sellar takes off again then there would be too many options up forward

No, unless they are going to recruit an older player like Pavlich or Franklin or Riewoldt, which doesn't seem likely, they need to focus on younger players with greater potential rather than good SANFL players who may be passable AFL players. I still remember that "star" from Westies they gave 2 matches before they realised their mistake - was his name Richardson?

I was thinking more of Pavlich at the time - recruiting Franklin is never going to happen - I should have said "established AFL Player".

Nope ... But I would have thought his teammate and partner in crime Luke Crane could be an interesting late option for a few teams in need of a ready made onballer

The real question is with his stellar year at SANFL level, would the Crows look at picking up a young fella by the name of Ian Perrie?

On reflection, depending on who is still available, he may be worth a look at if he is available late to see how he goes training with the squad.

A couple of years ago, yes but that boat has left the dock now. No club would take an untried 28 year old now, especially when clubs are delisting 30 year olds to play youth.

Even though the Troy Wilson experiment at WCE wasn't a failure, it wont happen. Always got the impression he doesn't care anyway.
It's all the SANFL's fault.
