My opinion this weeks match of the round is the Bullies v Bombers

Alot has been said about the new rules and it's impact on speeding up the game, and also the possible impact on the traditional structures especially in regards to ruckman and key forwards....

The Bullies strength is there running brigade, but they lack Talls both Forwards and Defenders.....

The Bombers mean time, their strength lies with there talls, Llyod, Lucas, Hird, Fletcher and the developing Laycock and Bradley

This game could be our first true indication of the actual impact of the new rules on our great game

Agree Syd, this should be a good game. I reckon the Bombers have some young fellas though that can run a bit in Monfries, Stanton, Lovett and Lovett Murray. As for Bradley and especially Laycock, they are miles away from it. Essendon's defence is a lot better than Melbourne and Richmond's is and also the Bulldogs might have to be a bit better in defence themselves due to Lloyd and Lucas and maybe Hird if he plays.

regards,

REB

I do like Monfries, he's got plenty of talent, Stanton works hard but the two aboriginal boys need to do more against quality sides, i just think with their light frames they struggle against physical sides

The doggies shere pace is enough to trouble plenty of sides, but they really that a key forward to step up for them to have a side that is capable of dominating the comp. Now im not saying they wont to well, because they will, but when they play a close checking team in tight hard conditions, then they might be found out.

was a gerat game!

But the doggies won the battle, but lost the war, more frigging injuries...

P.S. Morgan is no loss, but big Willy M is.
