has it ever happened that the team with the highest average losing margin that season, has won the premiership if so when.
Remembering Geelongs average losing margin is 86 points

It would have to be (if they do go all the way of course), because clubs who have gone through the year with only a couple of losses have not lost by that margin or more. Carlton in 1995 are the worst I can find - their losses were by 72 and 56 points, giving an average of 64 points.
