Thats is one good side, probably the best we have put on the park all year, despite having a tough run with injuries we have now got most of them back (wasnt aware Edwards was so close to coming back, along with Campbell another headache for Chocco!)

Take Grant and Simpson out of that side and you have a team that will be together for at least the next 3-4 years....

Memo to some Victorian "Powerhouse" Clubs - Proof you dont need to bottom out to be successful....its the easy option though which I think they have taken....

Where is Darren Pfeiffer at? He keeps being listed as an emergency in a bottom 8 side.

Any chance he'll be back at Norwood next year?

At a guess I'd think he'll get one more year at Carlton to try to prove himself mate, and then if he hasn't succeeded I'd think he would come back home.

here we go again, 3rd last year after being odds on for the Spoon, again everyone had us out of the 8 this year and likely to finish 4th before the finals...

Richmond, Melbourne, Essendon, Saints, Carlton...have all taken the easy of option of bottoming out to get the picks to mount a fresh challenge, they all would have killed for the success of the Roos the past 2 years....even Geelong/Hawks and Collingwood bottomed out to a degree...

All Im saying is that despite all the doom and gloom from 2 years ago, we have developed a team that will challenge for premierships in the next 5 years...without high draft picks

Yeah right,go and ask any fans of the above mentioned teams and ask them if it has been "easy" for the last 5 years......or for that fact a Port fan this year.

IMO,finishing 4th after 4th after 4th is not successful......

Ask Hawks/Geelong fans if the past 2 years have been worth the pain the previous seasons...

i wasnt talking about the fans, I was talking about the club who make the decisions to bottom out...

Why would we bother asking Hawk fans anything? They haven't won a premiership for 16 years. That is the point Booney is making but jeez he loves getting stuck into North ha ha.

Remember all those people saying the Crows should have selected him?
I'm not sure Norwood should unless he is prepared to make being fit for football a higher priority...
