If only the Saints had got their s**t together and played like the team they should be, Harvey would have a premiership to go along with the list of other achievments. Legend of the game, really enjoyed watchin him run himself into the ground and look absolutley buggered, only to get the ball at the next contest and run away with it.

Hooray for keeping KB's record intact.
Sensational career Robert Harvey...
3AW had an interesting debate a few weeks ago - best player out of Craig Bradley and Robert Harvey...

Awesome player.
Testament to the man that he didn't go to another club to chase a premiership, he stuck to it at the Saints, and ruined his chances of achieving the holy grail...
What an absolute champion of the game.

Are you guys serious?
Harvey was a much better player than Bradley.
Bradley won a premiership or 2, but Harvey won 2 Brownlow medals!!

Robert Harvey has been a good role model. Pity more players haven't copied from him.

I'll take a premiership over a Brownlow as football is a team sport as there is no I in team.
Don't get me wrong winning a Brownlow is a great achivement, but helpping your club win a flag means more as you winning a flag with your friends/teammates.

Both good players with talent and durability. I don't think deciding who is "best" can be done by logic.
I'd go for Harvey on a feeling basis.

Congrats to Harvey on a fantastic career

. Shaw and Didak could've learnt a thing or two from this gentleman of the game.

A sad day for all St Kilda supporters, but one that we all saw coming.
I grew up following St Kilda when the “fab five” were all in their early years, namely Loewe, Burke, Lockett, Winmar and Harvey. To think that ‘Bangers’ is still playing and contributing long after the others had retired or gone elsewhere is testament to the man’s professionalism and commitment to the game and club.
Having had a couple of very brief chats with him over the years, you can’t help but notice what a humble champion he is.

although harvey never won a premiership he would probably the best leader to take a club to a premiership. obviously he lead by example in winning 2 brownlows and what more can 1 man do than lead by example on the field and off the field. The players are that arogant these days they will do what they want. so he is the last person you can blame for st kilda not winninng a gf.
finshing up great player and for mine have him before bradley

I didn't say I'd take a Brownlow over a premiership!
Just because you play in a premiership doesn't necessarily make you a good player.
Not that I'm saying Bradley wasn't good, but he didn't win the individual accolades that Harvey did.
