This is not a Collingwood issue, it's a football issue. When are players going to realise they are high profile people and expected to behave themselves in public, more so than your average citizen? To some it may be unfair, but that's the way it is. There's no excaping that fact.

If I were President of an AFL club, I'd be co-opting a chauffer service for free sponsorship of the club to look after these brain dead footballers who insist upon breaking club rules.

The lack of discipline from some footballers in a so-called professional sport never ceases to amaze me.

If I do have a complaint against Collingwood, it's their announcement that it was a "minor car accident", sending the message to the public that it was just bad luck it happened. Not good enough Collingwood.

I think so. You get enough drunks together they gang up on those who don't conform to their norm and call them wowsers etc.

The other issue here is Heath Shaw's sister was nearly killed in a car accident some time ago, so how stupid is the guy? If anyone should realise how dangerous and irresponsible it is, it should be him.

Now I understand why Eddie was so upset at the press conference. It wasn't Heath Shaw he was having a go at, it was the "passenger" in the car. Heath Shaw claimed he had rung Alan Didak to come and help him, but eye-witnesses claim that Didak was in fact in the car.

In view of earlier misdemeanours. and statements made by the Collingwood Football Club about that player. Eddie may have no choice but to sack him or attempt to trade him, but his trade value would be diminished markedly now people know what happened.
