Will Steven Browne get for his cheap shot on Porplyzia?
I'm suggesting 6-8 games.
As bad as the Hall hit, not quite as bad as Solomon on Ling

2 Max, considering it was his shoulder that got him, incidental if anything

are we talking about the same incident????
Carlton player pushes Porplyzia into the path of a Browne, who throws a quick punch!

i watched the replay at the BBC (Bombay Bicycle Club), & they repeated the footage- i take it you guys are assuming he was knocked out from the left shoulder? Browne appeared to hit him with a right fist....
All this happened whilst tha ball was dead.

The lack of clear vision (well, what we saw yesterday anyway) would make it tough to prove what looks like a cheap shot

My take on it was that the Carlton players were testing his shoulder all game and this was another opportunity taken. Worst thing was it was off the ball. Whether they missed his shoulder and accidently concussed him I'm not sure. Consussion was why he went off. Probably a shoulder-tester that went wrong.

Whether it can be proven is the issue

What about Milburn's tackle last night .... anyone see it? Reminiscent of the tackle on Bassett in the Showdown so prob no case to answer.

well with the tribunal the way it works

it is off intentional contact, severe impact, behind play , and high contact.
for a total of 11 activation points and straight to the tribunal

his intent was not to knock him out though. The fact Porps got pushed into Browne will reduce the majority of the penalty. Gibbs was worse on Edwards IMHO

I think you are over reacting on this one Punky.From what I saw it was his shoulder that hit him,and I think there may not even be a case to answer too.Certainly not a 5 or 6 weeker and no fist IMO was used.

Football = zero weeks

Netball = 2-3 weeks

Ballet = 5-6 weeks

we will really see where this game has gone this weekend..

IMO the titch edwards & robert harvey incidents were worse then this one.

I'm with gadj. I was down at that end when it happened and my view was a Carlton person maybe Walker, pushed Porplyzia, purposely and pointedly and per functionally punctuated the point of Browne's permeating shoulder.....

Didn't see any punch, and the ways the Crows reacted I don't think they saw much in it either....

P.S Good catching up with ya gadj !!
