A few "blockbusters" this weekend.

First up: North Melbourne vs Collingwood: North trying to push into the eight, cannot lose!

Top of the Table: Geelong vs Western Bulldogs: Can the Dogs match it with the best?

Rivalry: Richmond vs Essendon: They go yonks back, just playing for pride!

Rivalry: Port Adelaide vs Adelaide: Adelaide trying to get their season back on track, perfect chance.

Battle for the Spoon: Fremantle vs Melbourne: Who will play out West Coast for the spoon?

My tips:-

North Melbourne - Cherry ripe for this clash and ready to make a statement of intent.

Geelong - Even with their 'outs' they will kickstart an inevitable Bulldogs slump.

Richmond - Because it's at the 'G'. If at Telstra Dome I'd go the Bombers.

Brisbane - Up against their bogey side and will need to boost their motivation levels from their last 2 outings. Haven't beaten the Eagles at the Gabba in 4 attempts since 2002. Interestingly all those losses were on Sunday afternoon games. This one is on Saturday night so a change is as good as a holiday!

St Kilda - Telstra Dome a happy hunting ground for the Saints and this is my upset of the round.

Sydney - I think the Swans pressure will unsettle the Blues.

Crows - The injuries to Porplyzia and Burton will sting the Crows into action to a much needed victory.

Fremantle - I'm tipping the Dockers to put on a treat for the home fans and cruise to 10-goal plus win.

I suppose it doesn't matter all that much Rush, but I want my team to win every week (not saying that you don't btw). But if you can't beat us without Ablett and Ling then good luck in September.......

SHINBONER!

Been a long time since you have seen so many contested marks by one player....The Drew Petrie Show [-o< [-o<

Sensational...

Collingwood now 1-2 at TD this year and 1-4 coming off 6 day breaks...

Well done by your boys Mr Holland..................................................................................s.

How many Petries did you have out there last night? He was everywhere. Certainly a night for Travis Cloke to forget. There was some fantastic vision last night with Eddie and Joffa at various times of the night watching their season slipping away. No top four again for the Pies this year.

Well done Dutchy, it'll be a great result for Geelong if Collingwood don't make the Top 4.

Is there any coincidence that North Melbourne are a better team without Nathan Thompson?

I am starting to think that Collingwood's main claim to fame in 2008 is that they just happen to match up well on the league's best team

Other than Geelong, their 8 other wins have come from - WC, StK, Ess, Rich, Fre, Adel, Sydney & Melbourne.

They could slip to 7th after this weekend which is probably about where they are really at .... despite seemingly being the team Geelong least want to play
