Once again Barry Hall is at it again.. After already serving a 7 game ban for striking this year the big bad bussler has struck again.. This time striking Collingwoods Shane Wakelin. Sure it wasnt as hard as Wakelin made it look by falling like an Italian soccer player but the intent was there. He did it with intent..
Do you think it is time the AFL or Sydney drew the line with Barry because it is ruining an already umpire softened games reputation or does the biff he brings draw crowds to see the angry man play.. ayay or anay???

I think I'll agree with you there. He has not only shot his rep but it puts dirt on a good AFL side. I do like to see biff but not in the fashion his does it in.

Tough football is about running hard at the ball and putting your body on the line. Taking a swing at a bloke behind the play is not tough. Sure he didn't make much contact but as Bubbula said the intent was there. Hall is nothing but a thug who is just embarrassing himself.

Perhaps that why there are stories that Sydney are approaching Fevola.
He'll get a shock if he waters windows in Kings Cross...

Er...wasn't that a fresh air shot? Stupid thing to do but Wakelin was trying to milk a free.

I think that is EXACTLY what he was trying to do. For the life of me though I can't figure out why.

Bubs that game was so fargen boring my eyes were hardly open at all during the majority of it so I'll have to take your word for it. The commentators said it was a fresh air 'shot' and the acting job by Wakelin would put Robert De Niro to shame.
We'll have to wait and see if the MRP leaps into action. He is a dumba55 though isn't he?

Its time to go...........Big Bad Barry, sorry but i think now after numerous incidents throughout his career its time Hall realises this great game of our is called FOOTBALL not BOXING, yeah he can fight but our game isn't about fighting & obviously this bloke is getting the two sports mixed up, maybe he's a little brain dead from his past bouts but he's now embarrassing himself & i think its time he hung his boots up & stopped embarrassing his club, team-mates & supporters aswell. The bloke has proven he can play footy when he puts his mind to it but he has also proven he doesn't understand the difference between the sports Football & boxing.

I think we can all agree on that. He certainly was born in the shallow end of the gene pool that's for sure.

He got 2 matches. 1 for a guilty plea.

What was the offence? Assuming he missed, I don't think I have heard of someone being reported for attempted striking before.
And assuming he connected, he would get plenty more than 2.

It did connect.. Very minimal contact though thus only getting 2 weeks and attempting to strike is reportable

Thanks for that bub.
I think that's where the points system is letting the game down.
Regardless of severity of contact, his form earlier in the season says that he shouldn't play again this season. Mandatory sentencing at its best.
