Can Richmond make the Finals?

Postby hearts on fire » Sun Jun 15, 2008 8:27 pm

Richmond are currently one and a half games out of the eight and have got the hapless Port at AAMI next week.

Richmond's Fixture:

Round 13: Port Adelaide @ AAMI Stadium
Round 14: Carlton @ Melbourne Cricket Ground
Round 15: West Coast @ Subiaco Oval
Round 16: Essendon @ Melbourne Cricket Ground
Round 17: Brisbane @ Telstra Dome
Round 18: Geelong @ Telstra Dome
Round 19: Adelaide @ AAMI Stadium
Round 20: Hawthorn @ Melbourne Cricket Ground
Round 21: Fremantle @ Melbourne Cricket Ground
Round 22: Melbourne @ Melbourne Cricket Ground

I personally think that they will finish between 12-14 on the ladder but at this stage of the season they are sitting 11th on the ladder and have a few "easy" games coming up.

Dude, bad thread...No chance...The Roos although they have fallen out would still be my favourite for 8th.

The Saints are still a maybe, and Carlton are in the 8 mid-season for the first time since 2001.

If Port beat them, which they should do, then I'd tip Carlton to knock them off, West Coast at Subi
is still a tough ask, should be Essendon, then play four top sides in consecutive weeks.
Could win last two, but IMO, they'd be lucky to win another 4...

Hopefully finish 9th....again !!

The only reason i started this thread is because i wanted to know what everyone thought because me and a mate made a bet that if Richmond don't make the finals, he has to give me $100.00.

Very stupid bet on his behalf but not on mine, typical Richmond supporter.

Hanson Rd is a beauty, i head down there every couple of days and see whats on the market.

It depends, sometimes they have the "two for one" special and it costs about $2.95.

Hopefully mum will let me borrow 95 cents so i can head down there and get the special.

You can forget the Tigers. As soon as the opposition kick three goals in a row they drop their heads faster than Monica Lewinsky. They have the worst captain in the AFL and most of the team can't kick straight. Terrible effort today against a Carlton side missing their best player, and this was with Carlton playing dumb predictable football for almost the entire first half.

They'll miss and deservedly so (as you can probably tell, I tipped the Tigers today and are not all that happy with them LOL).
