Hille & Lloyd spot on Thiels, both players played their best game of the year tonight.
Well done to Knightsy too, playing Lloyd up the ground, got his confidence up early & set the standard to which all Essendon players responded.

It was a good win by the bombers. Having Lloyd up the ground showed he can play more than one position. Very useful game from him. I guess the key for that to work is for Lucas and Neagle to get busy in the forward 50.

Then he'll get off, otherwise a precedent will be set and the Hawks will throw everything at the AFL...

Roos' McIntosh out for 10 weeks

North Melbourne big man Hamish McIntosh could miss the rest of the AFL season after suffering a serious knee injury against Fremantle on Saturday night.

Kangaroos coach Dean Laidley said the 23-year-old injured his posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and was expected to miss at least 10 weeks of football.
