Talk on the national game

Adelaide V Richmond

Postby Blue Boy » Mon Jun 02, 2008 2:13 pm

Once again the crows come up against another side that performed badly the week before.

I saw the Sydney v Richmond game and the Tigers were terrible.

Wallace has worked out the Crows before and once again this seems it is going to be another game that we should win easliy but I have a feeling that it will be close once again !!!
It is what it is !!!

I can see it as very close. Last week was a hot sydney side. Richmond are alot better than that.
This is the game that richmond need and can win and the game the rest of the country want us to lose so they continue to slam our lack of depth and reliance on older stars/

Without burton, it becomes a really tough contest. Heading into what was perceived as a easy mid season run against WC, ESS and the tiges, i knew that we would drop one. Initially thought it would be this game. Now that we lost to the weagles, we really need to take the points here.

I dont think there will be many , if any changes to the side apart from the obvious birdman replacment. I think flya-Kite or Otten may be a chance to replace D-Mac. Time to rest the kid me thinks. Done nothing wrong thus far. Then again being in Melbourne and playing well in TAC (another 3 goals on the weekend), Dangerzone could get a suprise call up (I wish)

No offence to Jezza but i think the crows need to play a real youngster. Jezza deserves a go but he isnt going to be a future star of the AFC.

I personally would like to see otten play.....

Jericho seemed to play pretty well for the Crows today!

I was listening to 891 for the call, one of the commentators not sure who it was, maybe Jarrod Molloy, made the point at 1/2 time that he thought Adelaide had a 2 man forward setup for the 1st half so that they could frustrate Richmond's forward thrusts with more men playing back, setting up the last half when Adelaide will let lose with a different forward structure and superior fitness to run Richmond off their feet. He was laughed at and pretty well derided, but he was spot on. Anyone else hear that or know who it was? Adelaide's ability to soak up another teams pressure is excellent and well done to Luke Jericho, top effort, he deserved another go and he came out on top.

You cant take thompson from the midfield, he actually kicked a few goals through there. Also well done to Jericho, now he needs to play a few good games and replay the faith Craig has put in him in keeping him on the list.

There is the option of Goodwin and Thompson alternating.
