sounds like we have a port power fan looking into it.. he is Captain isnt he and how many goals has he kicked?? he is a foward .. he might have knee troubles but look N.Thompson and Bradshaw have been kicking good and they had knee reconstuctions there is no excusses for him.. exept OVERRATED

Highly agree with the David Mundy call. An excellent player both athletically and as a footballer. Apparently a target for Hawthorn, as I believe he is coming out of contract.

Overrated - Daniel Wells, Matthew Lloyd. Tredrea isn't overrated because people don't rate him anymore.

overrated- ryan griffen (remind me what hes done to be called a superstar?) , matt mcguire

underrated- Graham Johncock, Michael Braun

Overrated: Ken McGregor, Brett Burton, Barry Hall

Underrated: David Rodan, Michael Wilson, Daniel Bradshaw

see tredea's name come up alot........hmmmm........i think its fair to say he's never been the same since the knee reconstruction......

most underated = Daniel Bradshaw, Strong Mark, Good Kick and mobile for a big bloke..........also regained full form since his knee reconstruction.........i think he tend to get overshadowed by Brown....(cant hold that against him. )......

Who under-rates Bradshaw? He played in the HOF game. Ditto Luke Power. Ditto Johncock. Ditto Boomer. Not too many quality players slip under the radar these days.

Wells - he's had a good year and is a good player. He was potentially over-hyped as any top 10 draft pick is, and he hasn't yet delivered like his peers (such as Bartel, Hodge, Corey, Mitchell) but I'd say he'd be one of their first picked players. Dutchy?

Tredders - harsh to judge him now and forget what he was before the knee injury. Besides he's had a good year what's the issue here? For an over-rated Port player (at this stage of his career) I'd look at Westhoff. Accept he has great potential but the media have jumped on his bandwagon too early IMO.

Players who haven't delivered according to their hype/potential IMO are Des Headland and Justin Kositschke.

Yes Westoff would be but still Tredders needs to stand up and kick a bag every now or then or get rid of him. Des would be a better player if he had a better team and same for Justin

Josh Fraser - Collingwood, he's a pretty good mobile ruckman and that's it. If he played for anyone else and especially outside Vic he'd be just another player.

Gilham? How can he be 'under rated'? He is a hack who is the only weak link in a strong Hawks line up.Play anyone in his spot and they would look servicable as he does,only through the midfield presure making scoring against the Hawks very hard.Gilham,pfft.

Who said Lloyd 'over rated',hey? Have you missed some of his 800+ goals...tough judge if Lloyd is over rated.

I agree with Kositschke and you can add to that Riewoldt.

Overrated : Nick Stevens
Underrated : Peake

The most overrated player in the AFL is clearly Nick Dal Santo. I watched this fairy play live for the first time at the Gabba on the weekend and he had no impact on the contest at all. I suppose it is hard to impact on the contest when you are million miles away from the hard ball. I reckon I got closer to the hard ball than he did in the third row. You can add Nathan Brown to the overrated list as well. A totally selfish footballer with a cocky attitude that doesn't live up to the actuall level of ability he has.

For underrated I'd go for Birchall of the Hawks. It is actually difficult to be underrated these days due to the amount of coverage AFL now has. You play even a sniff of a good game these days and you get rated. Birchall has been very good this year but has somehow flown under the radar.

For me in the overated status column i have go with the Alpacker look a like N.Riewoldt and why they made he captain is beyond me !!!

In the underated column im goin with Dane Swan - just has the knack of finding the footy every time I see him play.

Very good call BB ... Collingwood actually seem to have a few of this type ... I think Pendlebury was very underrated last year also (and to a degree still is today in some circles), and given he was a number 2 pick many people claimed Dale Thomas wasn't worthy of such a high selection.

Maxwell is another that was great for the Pies last year.

Swanny definitely flies under the radar for a ball magnet. Maxwell, unfortunately, is a bit off his game this year, a bit undisciplined in games and hasn't been rebounding quite the same as last year, hopefully comes good by years end.

Leon Davis would have been in overrated category last year, but seems to be showing a bit more consistency this year.
