mine would have to be Simon Black i know he isnt been noticed as a chance this yr but here are just some facts i have found Simon Black, in his brownlow winning year he had an Avg. of 22.3 possessions a game with getting over 30 possessions 3 times and so far in "08" Black has got an amazing Avg of 28 and getting over the 30 mark 3 times already i know its early in the season but i might head down to the TAB and chuck some money his way for the brownlow.

I like Adam Cooney from the Doggies, big posession winner & uses the thing when he gets it.
Getting better & better each year.
Also i like Sam Mitchell of Hawthorn, might be my quinella.

I reckon Sammy Mitchell would have to be right up there ... Agree with NM on Cooney, especially given the games they've won - someones gotta grab the votes Scotty West normally gets (typical 1st year in last 3 i haven't had $$ on him).

Also think Gablett Jnr would be right in the running, although Bartel and Corey should have polled a few too.

Does Franklin look like he 'chirps' to every one, incuding umpires? If he doesnt talk to umpires he would be in my top 3 with Cooney and Goodwin.

Boomer Harvey from the Roos is in great form and a proven vote getter.

Simon Black also polls well and is killing them in the midfield for the Lions.

What about Richo Man, career best form for the Tiges but perhaps gives a bit too much "constructive criticism" to the umps to poll 3 votes as with other champs such as Chad Cornes etc.

I'm liking Cooney's chances at this stage.

Jonathan Brown wouldn't be too far off the mark either. I think he's a big chance of picking up top votes from round 1 for his 6 goals on Darren Glass. That was in a losing side too. His form's been patchy but when good - VERY GOOD.

Im biased but I think Richo is a good chance, but otherwise Simon Black is carving up at the Lions and Gary Ablett Junior has been super impressive this year.

Leigh Matthews said last season that he had Brown for at least 6 BOG's in his eyes last season. Come Brownlow night he struggled to poll a vote. His form this year has been nowhere near like last. On the opposite end of the scales i thought Simon Black was only ok last year but at one stage during the count it looked as if he was going to win it. his form this season has been far better so he would have to be worth considering.

Well Mitchell is now not eligible so Im sticking with GAJ and Black. I got them at $9 and $10 and they're into $5.50 and $7 so I can't complain! :D

Adam Goodes is starting to hit some form could be a value bet at $41. Joel Corey has had a great start to the year at $26.

I'm with you on that one Bluey. I put a few bucks on him a couple of weeks ago. The umps seem to notice him alot because he's such a clean in and under player.

Richo is my favourite at the moment, followed by Boomer Harvey. Brown and Black may rob each other of votes, as might Cooney and Aker.

Brown might be lucky to have 4 votes so far. the only others that might poll good at Brissy are Power, BLACK, Johnstone, and Bradshaw
I will have to make a trip to the TAB tomoro Blacky is best chance for how far we are in.. Richo is to back chatty with the umps. they hate it.. and Boomer Harvey would have to be in high contention as well.. it would be good to see a Kanga to win but i think Black will get his 2nd.
