Pavlich, How would he feel????

Feel sorry for him but he had a choice and blew it. Captain of the most under achieving side of the last few years. Could have come home to The Crows for a trailer full of $$$ plus outside 'investments'. Chose to stay at Freo and look how they have repaid him. Imagine how good the Crows could be with him at CHF, and how good the Crows would make him look!!!!

Yeah and imagine how Pavlich is feeling too....
They will be back in the game this weekend, as I can't see Carlton beating them....

Its not all as simple as that. Crows have had there chances, But thought other players were better suited. Eg Wayne Carey and before that Kenny Mcgregor.

He's made his decision, and has to live with it, simple as that really.

The problem is even if he did want to come home, with the current draft and trade system there is no way to get that deal to work. I would like to see him in a SA jumper of some sorts as I think with either SA team he would do well.

Port have twice moved heaven and earth to try and entice him over, much more than the Crows have tried - who were too busy concentrating on getting a 33 year old cripple at the time.
He seems happy over there. Good on him.

i think Pavlich would be enjoying it over there despite the on-field results
Im sure that freo are giving him a fair wack of cash and i think that in the west there is far more 'outside investment' opportunities then here
WA is a lovely spot, who can blame him for wanting to stay there.

Pavlich is a fool for showing loyalty to that purple wearing rabble called the "Dockers"! He should have come to the Crows when he had the chance, he was never going to Port.. he could be running amok with Tippett and Birdman while looking forward to finals in September. Instead he will get a spoon to make soup with.

Why wasn't he going to Port? it would be nice if he did though!

Pavlich & Riewoldt.
Two careers ruined by
1/ Their shyte clubs &
2/ Their own choice by staying at the same clubs.

Don't forget Macca19 both our Adelaide based AFL teams let him slip through their fingers . And just think its worse for Port Adelaide as his cousin was in charge of Port Adelaide at the time .
He may have gone to Port under father son rule as well depending on how many games his dad played for West torrens.
But at the end of the day he wants to stay in Perth.Pitty if he did play for either Adelaide based AFL clubs and was dropped he would be handy at CHF for the EAGLES !!.

I've always thought that with his last contract there might've been an out clause and for his sake I hope so

Gun player, but his decision to stay at the biggest joke of a club was flat out stupid.

If the rest of the team are paid on performance there would be a lot left over for him.
Seriously, I assume he is better paid there than he would be in SA, even if it is under the table or in fringe benefits.
He may read his bank statements for consolation every weekend.

Like many, I don't know the ins-and-outs of his contract or what he might have been offered elsewhere, but if his decision to remain at Fremantle included a component of loyalty I don't think you can bag a bloke for that ... Most of us bemoan the fact that there's not enough loyalty left in sport!!
Also find it interesting when comments are made about how he would have gone alongside players x, y and z when some of those players might not have been there (given any trade for a top shelf player like Pavlich would have to include some good names and/or choice draft picks).
At a guess you would think that wanting a decent crack at the ultimate success could soon be on his radar and he'll need to decide if Fremantle are acapable of giving him that opportunity (most of us naturally can't see that being the case).
Another point to ponder ... Could the trading of someone like Pavlich also be in Fremantle's best interests? Sounds stupid I know and perhaps it is, but if they were to score 3 Top 20 draft picks for him, might that be a better option for rebuilding their list given just how far away it appears from success at the moment?

Spot on GWW,from my sources Port tried (tried=$) much harder than Adelaide in the last attempt to secure Pavlich.
He is an Eagles boy and would probably have been more enticed to go to the Crows, however,he had his chance and who cares how crap Fremantle are, good on him.A player of his ilk who 'jumped ship' as soon a Freo started to sink would lose all credibility and good on him for having some solid values.
He will, perhaps, never play in a premiership but really for us on the outside looking in what would you respect more.
Him being loyal and devoted to his club,or moving just for the shot at a flag?(Which is never garunteed)
