He was only demonstrating what everyone else was thinking. Get over your Hawthorn hatred REB. FFS it was a gesture aimed at giving Port Adelaide sh1t. You as a Norwood supporter should like that. Honestly what is your problem with the Hawks that has you hate them more than Port?

Given this quote form Clarkson i dont think he was overly impressed:

"We like to be humble and gracious in victory and certainly not put on performances like that. It’s the quickest way to find the exit door at our footy club, so could I make an apology to Mark Williams of Port Adelaide and the Port Adelaide footy club because we don’t accept that sort of behaviour at our club".

Did you miss the late 80's and early 90's Rod? REB follows Geelong, during the period I mentioned Hawthorn,on a regular basis made Geelong fans feel like life was not worth living, anywho,I am sure REB will expand upon this.

Onto the topic at hand,WTF was this clown thinking? I think he had less than a dozen possessions for the day and to my knowledge plays for a club which in recent history has not been able to conquer the final hurdle, nor even get there for a shot at it.

Mark Williams(Hawthorn) you sir are a knob of the highest order.Brett Byrton move over,I have a new 'most hated'....

yes well to be honest he didnt have the greatest game, and his spot in the side will be in trouble based on his form. I reckon having another small farward would be better than him. Now wouldnt he look silly if he gets dropped.

What a stupid brain malfunction I think REB is OTM .... come on down WOTW :D

A 15 point win in round 8 at your (second) home ground is time to go the strut? Good one Mark .... what goes always around comes around and then you give them some ammunition to help :?

He would have got the riot act from both Clarkson and their leadership group and rightly so. At least Clarkson opened his press conference with an apology

(Mods ...... I think this belongs in the general AFL board BTW I think we will hear more about this one)

It's about the behaviour of a Hawthorn player :?

But, doesn't fuss me overly I just hope we don't miss comments from the general AFL posters because a Mark Williams (Hawthorn player) thread is sitting in the Power Board

Does anyone know if the Mark Williams that sang Show No Mercy ever did something silly too? Maybe there's something about that name?

Mark of Port doesn't care about what happened, I quite enjoyed it myself. Admit it, the crowd will do the same thing when their team plays Port.

Mark Williams (Port) gets criticised for the way he handles the media, trying to crack jokes and so on and he is a pssionate man who let emotion get the better of him on that great day.Im not sure saying "it's not (Thompsons) style, nor is it his clubs" is a bit rich as I am sure club leaders at Alberton did not ask Choco to make that gesture or say what he said.Hindsight is a wonderful thing, especially when criticising.
The Allan Scott comment was no problem for mine.Scott made a direct comment at Mark saying "Port Adelaide will never win a premiership while Williams is in charge",Choco saying "You were wrong" after stating the comment was directed at Scott was fine.

In saying that, would you rather watch Mark Williams speak to the media or Laidley/Harvey/Craig?

Out of those I prefer Neil Craig, I actully find him quit in depth, scientific and interesting. I don't get anything out Mark Williams media conferences.

In regard to Coach Mark's comments in the week before the Grand Final last year, he admitted to Mark Thompson that he thought his team had absolutely no chance of beating Geelong (not sure why when Collingwood could) and thought he'd try anything possible to try and lessen the result, that's fair enough. Didn't work but he new he was on a hiding to nothing.

Mark Williams bleating in the press all week about how they where going to get into Lance Franklins head re goal kicking conversion rate(choking in front of goal) recently. Port the blow a 39 point lead .Williams kicks the sealer and sticks it up Choco on behalf of his fellow team mate....big deal.

Mate Cam Mooney has been so disiplined for ages. I used to love watching Cam "madcat" Mooney get agro. But I think he was smart enough to know if he just plays football then hes actually good at it.
