This guy is a deadset superstar, if he was handled properly and was any other list he'd be coming up to his 100th AFL game by now.
If this guy doesn't get a game ahead of Tredrea soon (or possibly in tandem) then something seriously wrong is happening down at Alberton.
He looks more passionate and has more fun when playing with North Adelaide, can't blame him though.

Off topic thought Willets played one of his best games for West Adelaide today

Not a troll at all, Im praising a Port Adelaide Footballer as I think he's a fantastic player and Im just trying to promote some talk on a forum that doesn't have much traffic.
His agility for a big man amazes me, could play almost any position on the oval.
He's now kicked over 100 goals in SANFL footy and I have no doubt that he would have played a hell of a lot more games if on any other list in the AFL.
The other 2 Port lads played great games for North today too. (Grose and Lonie)

Agree Wedgie. Damon is a star but stop telling Port. It's better they keep underrating him so he stays with North.

What? People think White should be in the team ahead of Tredrea? Have you watched a Power game this year? Tredrea is playing VERY good football this year. How many chances do we need to give White in the AFL to prove he deserves to stay in the team? Everytime he comes into the team he plays well for the first couple of weeks, then plays a few shockers and gets dropped. So far he is not consistent enough.

There is no way Damon White should be selected for Port. He should play every game in the SANFL this year

Tredders was also chiefly responsible for beating the Eagles in the home final last year as well. He struggled last year because of injury but his form is on an upward curve.
And Damon has only had 1 outstanding game for the club in that period, and that was against Freo in round 1 last year. Hes a great SANFL player, but is inconsistent at AFL level, and if theres a choice between the 2 to be in the side, theres no question Tredrea should be in the side. SANFL form can be a reasonable guide, but i'd point to the game Tredrea played against Norwood early last year when he kicked a bag of 7 or so, yet he struggled to do much in the AFL the following few weeks when really struggling with his fitness.

Must admit I try to avoid Port games because of the terrible footy they play, only recently watched the Grand Final, the loss to Geelong in Round 1 and the losses against Adelaide and Sydney.
Even if I had seen any of the other matches I wouldn't read too much into performances against crap sides.
Anyway, what's the issue playing Tredrea in the goal square and Damon at CHF?
From what I saw in Round 1 Tredrea's forgotton how to chase his player so at least in the goalsquare he could do a bit less damage defensively.

White is like McGregor for the Crows
Enough talent to play regular AFL, but for some reason when given opportunities at AFL level they don't make every post a winner
Port went into last season with White and Tredders as part of their forward line plans so he had his chance there.
Personally, I haven't seen him do enough at AFL level to be convinced he is ever going to be a gun forward and the fact that he couldn't seem to secure a trade says to me other clubs feel the same. As for a comparison to Tredders, he's a solid backup IMO.

White, as Thurstans has, may make a better backman.

i think the Power have been very patient with White, he's been around the mark for sometime but his lack of consistency is the issue..........i think he would be a fringe player at best.............

White is one of those players that is arguably too good for state footy but isnt up to AFL footy where its a lot quicker.
CHF is probably the worst position for Damon at AFL level. The guy has consistently shown to have zero contested marking ability, he loses his footing too much and he tends to miss crucial goals. AFL clubs worked him out late 06 and last year by putting smaller, quicker guys on him. Theyd keep up on the lead, wait until Damon inevitably fell over and would run off with the ball.
To be CHF you gotta be good in contests and at AFL level its his worst attribute.
FF at AFL level would be much more suited to him, but hes not the most accurate kick on goal either.
I used to rate him ultra highly and remember him kicking 5 goals in his 2nd game at SANFL level before shattering his ankle. Come 04/05 a lot of Port supporters were heavily campaigning for him to be in the side each week but hes just never lived up to that expectation.
I cant see him getting becoming a star at another AFL club.
As for Tredrea, hes played one poor game this year and has done more than any other tall forward in this state has done this year.

I think White should be playing in front of Westhoff at the moment. The young man needs to play a few more games in the SANFL and get some meat on that frame. I think white would really boost the powers forward line.

Crikey, is Westhoff still getting a game? I must admit that comes as a shock to me after seeing him try to play Geelong.

Definitly looked out of this league when he was against Scarlett. I think he needs some time in the SANFL. As I said White would be a better option. Hes a big, strong and gives plenty. I would have him in the square.
