Oops i have Hart in defence twice, so other back pocket would go to Scott Lee.

Like you side better than halo's but I think I might find a spot for Ruccitio.

Probably ahead of Bone on the field, BOne on the bench, add in Johnson for the 4th man on the bench
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Emergency - Pittman

Like CP I like the idea of Bondy in pocket. A fabulous goal sneak and still one of my all time favourite Crows. Didn't consider Carey or Hall as their best was well and truly behind them when they joined the Crows.
Clarke is 2nd ruck coming off the i/c bench simply as I feel he is a better tap ruckman than Pitto (sincere apologies to Pitto on missing the final 22).
Coach of course is Blight, Craig is assistant and Reid is comedy relief (without even trying).

Bond and Vardy were critical components to Blights high speed game imho ... I left Bones, Jars, Hall, Anderson, Maynard and the King out because whilst great players, for mine their best football had been played prior to their Crows days (as had McGuiness', but I still think he did enough to grab a berth) ... Tregenza's disposal cost him a spot in my lineup and perhaps the most unfortunate was Liptak (and I resisted the temptation to include a personal favourite in John Klug)!

I think Pitto was as good a knock ruckman as Clarke, both quite similar really as it was their marking that would let them down at times, but the one advantage that Pitt's had was that he could be used at CHB on blokes like Kernahan and Loewe to great affect, giving him that edge by way of versatility ..

Nice work Booney. I agree 100%. What a great team we had in 1989. David Brown and Scott Hodges wouldn't have been treated like shit if Jack was their coach and not some clown from the bay.

If Hodges stayed on the ground in the 93 prelim, the Cows would have won.

Not unless he was moved to backlines. The ball hardly got past centre in the second half.

You guys were fairly well represented in The Crows first year. Phillips and Johnston would have got gigs if they were younger and Obst and Hynes would have if they hadn't gone to other AFL clubs. You were certainly better represented than the team who came third in the 1990 and managed to get one representative in the Crows first year :-k Not enough black or yellow in the jumper me thinks.

But I have to admit it still baffles me to this day that Phil Harrison didn't make the first Crows team. :P

I am well aware of the year the Cows entered, just thought the North fans would appreciate a walk down memory lane.

But 88 and 90 can also be produced, want to go for a walk too Tassie?
