Port's first win - who?

Postby Squawk » Sun Apr 13, 2008 10:16 pm

The draw is not getting any easier for Port, and looking at the draw they could be 0-10 before facing Carlton in Rd11 at Aami. Or even worse, 0-20 before facing the Demons at home.

SERIOUSLY, When will they win their first game?

I think they will get over the Saints at AAMI in round 6..............

Freo in Rd 10 could be their first win - they have done well at Subiaco in the past.

Not so well in the last 3 or 4 games, but going back the 5 or so years before that, Port's record was very good in Perth.

Dont have a no win for the season option, or is that only on the Melboune poll?

If thats the case of a good record in Subiaco, then they should be able to win this week!

within 10 points of Geelong
within 10 points of Adelaide

They are not playing bad footy, just haven't had the luck early of last year...
Port could easily be 3-1 (if they beat Brisbane) and everyone would be saying how good they are...

But they certainly aren't playing as bad as Melbourne at 0-4
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

Fair call but playing Freo is different to playing WC. Freo can be anything on the day. WC have a history of consistency.

Re "no wins for the season" not being in the Poll - I cant see it happening. You could start a poll if you like - will Port win a game this year, yes or no?

I'm expecting that to happen.

But one could have expected us to maybe just scrape over the line at 47 pts up in the 3rd quarter last night......problem was, too many players also 'expected' it to happen.

So 13 people (41%) are all tipping Port to beat West Coast in their footy tips this week?
Interesting that few of these 41% have backed up their votes with a supporting comment.
