Great, get this game on 2 channels and the premiers unfurling their flag on no channels.

They count as much as any other minor round game, so why do we need "Showdown 24"? Is the Essendon/Carlton game this weekend <Insert pi55 poor marketing w@nk name> 4,369? Gives me the tom tits, almost impossible to avoid which makes it even worse - everywhere you turn some boofhead is carrying on about a round 3 game of footy like it's the grand final.

Port Power couldn't have asked for a better opposition to play this weekend , i know choco will have his boys ready to run through brick walls by the time game day comes around .

I expect Tredrea to kick a few . Port by 17 points .
What i dont know about football isnt worth knowing .

Crows vs Port is always a big game. They build up the Essendon vs Collingwood vs Carlton games as well so this should be no different!

If they are no different, why do we count each and every one of them?

Because then the naming rights can be sold for large sums of cash.

I wouldnt think the players actually care what number Showdown it is.

The only number I care about is the winning records in the Showdown, Crows need a win to level things up!

Watching fox league teams last night it showed the victorian media really have no idea about any team interstate. When doing the showdown preview they stated that Port had a great record in winning the showdown games. There is 1 game seperating the wins, they clearly are going on memories of previous years. No idea.

Crows have won something like 6 of the last 7! The Vics are just ignorant.
