Geez, how much is AFL commentary hurting without Clinton

His absence is really sticking out like a sore thumb this season. Between Dwayne Russell, the nullifying effect Bruce and Dennis have on each other, and the irritatingly repetitive tones of John Casey you've got a terrible commentary standard in season 2008.

Makes you appreciate and miss the ability Clinton had to, as Eddie McGuire said, actually make our great game even better with his calls. I used to sit down and watch a lot of extra matches over a weekend and now I find I am not able to sit through them because the commentary irritates me so much.

While I know the chances of finding someone who can adequately fill Clinton's shoes are nearly nonexistent, the standard still needs to lift, and FAST.

Bit harsh...I find Dwayne and JC very good, why not turn on the radio and listen to that commentary?

I'm finding Dwayne Russell to be more and more annoying.

He's a Cometti wannabe with try-hard 'wit', plus he drones on and on with totally inane triva (who gives a crap that Stuart Dew's ex girlfriend is making a movie?)

Yes, Clinton Grybas is badly missed!

I do....
She's more appealing to me than a game of footy....
Anyone who thinks otherwise is crazy.... :D

The biggest loss is being felt on The Winners.

The show just IS NOT the same without him. It feels so different.

Im still coming to terms with an AFL season without Clinton :(

I read that Fox Sports wont be replacing him just yet as his role was so huge and not to upset his family.

I used to love his closing line on the winners.

Anyone catch the Channel 7 Sunday morning Footy Show ... Don't know the name of the bloke that hosted it, but he was embarrassingly bad.

Agree that Clinton's absence is being felt by most if not all, I was surprised how much it hit home on the weekend.

Oh man! I've seen some shocking hosts, but he is the worst. Absolutely TERRIBLE! Struggled to spit out words and when he did he stuffed up team names. Can't remember now but he said stuff like, "Essendon Swans". He has got to go, as does the show which was really average.
