Richmond captain Kane Johnson has been arrested over an incident in which he was caught urinating in public.

The Tigers have confirmed Johnson was charged with being drunk in a public place, after urinating outside a St Kilda Road police complex in Melbourne's inner east in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Club officials were meeting to discuss the incident, with a penalty for the skipper yet to be decided.

Stunningly, Johnson's indiscretion came just a week after a similar act by Carlton star forward Brendan Fevola, which resulted in him being sanctioned by his club.

Fevola was spared a suspension by the Blues for urinating outside a nightclub and played in Carlton's opening round loss to the Tigers.

But he was fined $10,000, stood down from the club's leadership group, ordered to undergo counselling and warned that another similar incident in the future would result in his sacking

What is it with these guys, cant they find an out of the way place to have a leak, even jump a fence and do it in someones front yard and then it aint a public place

The last time i seen Johnson was at rise before he went to Richmond, 5am and he wasnt drinking

Thats crap, footballers are employee's of certain clubs and i though these sort of disiplinary actions were outed years ago. Id hate for my employer to give me a week off with no pay for something trivial i did on the week-end, im not a public figure but i beleive horses for courses....imo

Kane Johnson and Fev be total dickheads and try and do the big sorry story and act real innocent.

It makes it look more worse than it is, just say it how it was rather than going on about it, everyone knows you stuffed up, get over it.

Reading that article, it says he lives next door to the police station, how the hell can hell not hold it THAT long?
