If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

How are Hawthorn going to make the Grand Final when they have yet to master contested football? They might make the finals as yes, they do have some talent but to make the Grand Final you need to win your own ball. I'm yet to be convinced that the Hawks can do this often enough to reach the Grand Final.

St Kilda couldn't make the grand final in 2004. I'd like to know what areas of improvement have taken place for them to be able to do so in 2008 now that Harvey is 36, the G Train has had a brief sabbatical and the Goose is already injured again?

Freo have to improve on last year but is that midfield good enough to take them to the Grand Final? Port still look to be the better side.

It has to be West Coast for mine. They showed how competitive they were without Judd, Cousins and Kerr...pushing both Port and Collingwood in the finals when they simply had no right to. While Judd and Cuz are gone, Kerr will be back and they will once again be a major threat to the flag.

I agree with you there on your prediction REB. Although without Judd and Cousions the eagles still seemed to show plenty. They have good depth. Although I feel they would get crushed agaisnt the might of Geelong in the big one, I feel they might make it. Collingwood are a smokey. Hawthorne, well Im not sure about. Have the potential there.

Wooden spoon well you can never go past richmond, but they might see some improvement this year. Essendon for me at this stage.

Will be interesting to see how West Coast go. WIll the playing group be more focussed now they are acting on their problems? Or will it be too much for some of those "second-stringers" to consistently be able to put in performances to be able to get them into a good position in the finals?

GF: Geelong v Collingwood

Spooners: Melbourne. Surely Richmond have to show improvement by now.

Carlton to be big improvers, possibly 4-5th.

Richmond will improve once they get rid of Wallace I am sorry to any tiger supporters but he isn't the coach he was of the doggies. I feel he is past it.

Yeah, to me there seemed to be a certain passion, energy and enthusiasm in his coaching at Bulldogs, but now it seems more clinical
