I recall hearing once that nominations are for 2 years - if that is true then this would be a leftover from his nomination last season.

yeah your in the draft for two years. there are several other players in the same boat like ian Prendagast and Shane Woewodin.

i believe you pay a yearly fee.

Woewodin, Morell left the afl over two seasons ago so they wouldnt automatically qualify.
