I recall hearing once that nominations are for 2 years - if that is true then this would be a leftover from his nomination last season.

Someone might know more information about this....but if (which we expect to be the case) Ben Hart doesn't get drafted this time around, he'll get a nice payment from the AFL players fund because his AFL career's officially over?

yeah your in the draft for two years. there are several other players in the same boat like ian Prendagast and Shane Woewodin.

i believe you pay a yearly fee.
Woewodin, Morell left the afl over two seasons ago so they wouldnt automatically qualify.
