Why have the crows not invited any players to pre-season training ???

I cant believe that we havent got on the front foot and got some guys that may be on the radar out to train with the big boys.

Craigy is obsessed with being "innovative" . For once Neil, just do what the other clubs bloody do. He is getting on my nerves.

i was told there was a story on the news that scotty welsh will be going to the demons unless the crows will give him 2 year deal and they offered him 1. hope he can strike up a deal with the crows.

I hope he goes to the Ds, then the Crows will have to develop one of the bigger rookies instead of going on pretending Welsh is a full forward.

He only gets the ball and goals when the Crows midfield is on top and that is not reliable enough - a few big bags a year and nothing much in between them.

I really don't see the purpose of the crows inviting players out to pre-season training just for two weeks

last year the crows invited potential rookies to train after the main draft and prior to the rookie draft, this serves greater purpose

the crows young players start on Monday 12th Nov, the rest of the list starts the following week (19th Nov) and the Draft is on the 24th Nov, so in reality it's less than 2 weeks training...

so my question, would the club learn more about a player in two weeks, I think not?

the crows use to have pre-draft camps, this gave opposition clubs an opportunity to sit at crows training and access the talent the crows were considering, many of these clubs had earlier picks than adelaide, all this achieved was adelaide showing their hand on their recruitment targets

If we use Kepler Bradley as an example, the crows would be monitoring his training, however, by not inviting him to crows training, they have not showed their hand and freo are left guessing

many players that have been invited to train with AFL clubs will not be picked up by that club, some clubs have allowed player to train in good faith as they have already delisted that player and want to give him every opportunity to be drafted by another cub....

inviting players to pre-season training is a bit of a beat up

On Welsh

I wont lose sleep if he goes, however, I would not of thought the Dee's would of been a good fit, not sure on Welsh and Robertson in the same side

Essendon & Geelong are also not bothering. Kangaroos have 1 going out (looks like one of their own delistings)

Should we jump on those clubs too?

Port have a cast of 1,000s joining them

Who's right?

From our computer desks we prob don't know what the best way is ..... looking at how many players have got drafted from this process in the past would be some guide (I have no idea on those stats but don't think they are that high)

I think this is jumping NC for the sake of it ..... again .... lets wait until the draft and then have a look at it again. Don't get fooled into thinking other clubs have got some sort of edge from inviting so many guys out ..... having a player train at your club gives you no entitlement come draft day.

Welsh as the third forward ( Neitz & Robbo ) will play alot better at the Dees than the crows !!!

Well with young Newton coming on and with Neitz and Robbo, is there really room for Welsh?
