Sydney have signed a 205cm teenager who has played just three games of football.

Seems to be one of the 'naturally talented at everything' types. I hated those kids at school.

Will be interesting to see him progress, always enjoy watching these 'different' pathways explored.

Is there even any point in a NSW or QLD kid nominating for the draft these days when they can just get picked up for free without the stress which goes with it!

Seems fair to me when you have all these young fellas over here busting their gut week in week out to try and live their dream

Any club can do what the swans have done here riddler. No bias for or against anyone at all.

More annoyed at the fact he just gets picked up without going in the draft and all the young kids over here and in vic and wa have to do it the hard way!

Swans are taking a punt on a kid who has basically never played the game. If you find a kid in Adelaide who hasn't played, he has the same access to a list.

Why not? A kid in Adelaide who hasn't played footy, just like Jake, can get to a list the same way.

Seems perfectly fair to me. But if you like conspiracies, my kids have an old ice cream container that you can wrap in alfoil and stick on your head.

Sydney picked him up with the same rule they used to draft Tadhg Kennelly, and no-one complained about it then...
