obviously Judd was the huge trade off the week

other than that, it's hard to measure, it's all about players getting new opportunities, hopefully improving your draft position, rather than building your list through player trades

you build your list through the draft

WCE 4 picks in the top 22 of this years Draft, plus a young KPP.

Lost Judd but have done reasonably well.

Carlton did well Judd, Hadley and Pick 1 still.

StKilda got some value Schneider, Dempster, Gardiner and King for pick 26 and 90

I think both sides have come out alright from the Judd deal. obviously Carlton have come out of trade week the best, with still the prized number 1 pick and Judd as well.

As for the saints, pick 90 for king and Gardiner........No idea about that one, and then the sydney trade, bahh

Strange ones for mine:

King and Gardiner for pick 90. Odd but I can understand salary cap pressure but PICK 90! 2 players (good ones too) for pick 90?

Hudson for pick 22 (from memory) but in comparison, Wood for pick 14. Odd.

But I'm very happy with Hadley for pick 52 from a purely selfish point of view.

Go Blues, "aiming for 'top 15' again in 08"

This is done because the AFL does not allow a club ti give players away, some sort of trade has to be made, pick 90 will not get used.

Dead right, it's a pick that Geelong have already said they wont use. But realistically I'm now really disappointed Carlton did read the local newspaper and pick up that Geelong were having a Garage Sale on Friday arvo, where every attendee gets a free player.

think you will find they will use it for a father/son pick so it has some use

Kepler Bradley (Though may go PSD)
Jarred Brennan
Kane Tenance
Mark Williams
Ryan Murphy
Rhyce Shaw
Josh Fraser
Ash Mcgrath
Jay Schulz

As per usual huge numbers get put up (Supposedly) and not many of them end up going

Does anyone know if Brennan has re-signed with the Lions, supposedly there was some type of contractual dispute with them?? Presumably he'd be picked up very early if he went into the PSD..

Teams are still trying to get him in the PSD. He has not re-signed yet and Essendon are throwing him big money (From all reports).

I think he will probably stay. He should anyway, Brisbane have put a lot of time and effort into him and IMO deserve to reap the rewards.

I believe he will leave, the Lions have not been able to contact him since the end of the season, If I was to put money on it, he will leave the lions......
