OK... who wrote the letter?

Postby Footy Chick » Tue Oct 09, 2007 3:26 pm

Listening to MIX on the way to work this morning and Mr Rucci was on the line defending himself against an apparant rather harsh letter written by an unknown author , whom in the letter let rip at Rucci, having a go at him for being Anti-Crows etc... the letter was read out on air (and it was good really..), but dont know where or if it was published.

Any one know anything about this?

Rucc's defence was "my attacks on the Crows aren't as bad as other papers" in summary. He also said that he had a dig at Williams in 01 and 02. I'd like Gary Ayres to advise if he thought the paper was "fair and showed journalistic integrity" during his stint here.

I'm not a Crows nor Port supporter and I don't wont read his commentary on the game. It's nearly always vindictive and his preparedness to have cheap shots at the Crows is nigh on beyond belief.

Simply don't buy his paper, then the Advertiser will be forced to do something to sell papers, ie, change staff.

Agreed on your first point 100%.

Can't agree with you on the 2nd point as I don't want the Advertiser to change some of their staff like Zac Milbank.

His only saving grace is that Adelaide is a 1 paper town, otherwise I think he'd be less antagonistic or out of a job. Post Port's loss in the GF it was all about how well Pt Magpies and other clubs have bounced back in the past after a big GF loss, talk about creative writing, now it's about a mass exodus from the Crows.
There's a bloke that rings 5AA often and rang the other night having a go at Rucci, KG posed that this guy doesn't like Rucci. He answered that he enjoys his articles but that he can give as good as Rucci can. He speaks pretty well and is often taking the piss out of Rucci, but I can't remember his name.

Nope, not Darren. He speaks quite slowly as though he's tired or had a couple of beers, bloody hell what's his name. Antway he seems to be the type to write a letter to get up Rucci's nose.

=D>.......2 page spread about "craigs genius move" giving the players a night off after 2 short weeks( gee I bet that has not been done in the history of the game   ). And that was from Rucci himself .I dont get the complaints about Rucci from the crows mob. As for the a board member formally complaing to the papers editor, well that was just beyond belief.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained Chicky!
I've no idea who wrote the letter and not hearing or reading it I've less of an idea, but from what you've said about it, it sounds like something this Derek bloke would do and if the Big Rucc has got riled then it can only be good for society.
