Big tip going around Melbourne is that Carroll wants out and is interested in filling the Hawks need for a fullback. Could be worth a look in for Hawthorn as they got stiched up by the big forwards, with the young kids still not strong enough. He had a poor season last year, but you would have to rate the Hawk midfield far superior to that of the Dees, and a Demon backman would not have been number one wish for many players.

I would be pretty surprised if Hawthorn went after him, Stephen Gilham did a very good job back there along with Campbell Brown and they still have Zac Dawson in the 2's who has improved over the last 12 months.

PS I'll be VERY surprised if the hawks pick Carroll- we have enough average defenders who are much younger thank you very much....
