What a massive storm in a tea cup

not sure if too many members are using the face book concept, however, my partner and I use it to keep in contact with all our friends interstate and around the world

the only thing the players did wrong here, was having a lack of understanding when they registered on face book...

like my partner and I, when we registered with Face book, we assumed that the settings would be private, and only friends that had access to your login / password, could access your face book.

However, to our absolute shock  we quickly leant that strangers had access to our face book, so when we searched the settings, it was obvious that the settings were the defaulted as public (view to all), so we obviously selected the private security setting

Maric and Co are not the first to make this mistake. Almost everyone I talk to about Face Book has made the same mistake

another storm in a tea cup, that is being sensationalized by the media

Good call SD. Geez imagine young blokes looking at porn  ...If they got the setting right who cares. Do the media put in stories about kids jumping on computers at home and accidentally opening up porn which their parents have downloaded/viewed etc etc...
Must be a real quite day in the media front...

I am not even sure you can call it porn

McIntyre posted to Maric a cartoon of a penis with arms......

I have some friends that work in the media who send me stuff every day, all I can say is people that live in glass houses should not throw rocks

Mistakes made by young blokes - if this is the worst then all is OK, I reckon.

Travis Varcoe had his myspace page censored by Geelong early in the season following some public complaints. Nothing much in that either.

The central issue is that the default setting on Facebook, and other such sites, should be "Private" - accessible to friends only, and you should have to deliberately change to "Wanker" setting if you want to put yourself about! 8)

It wasn't Rucci if thats what you're implying. It was written by David Nankervis.
